Tape Resist Painting

(K-5th | 45 min)

Tape Resist painting is a great Process Art project that requires only a few supplies. Artists can use paper or fabric for the base and tempera or acrylic for their paint. The key to this project is using a tape that peels off easily. Painter’s tape or washi tape is recommended. After the paint is dry, artists peel up the tape for a big reveal of the crisp white lines of the tape design against an explosion of color.

Each lesson comes with a step-by-step art video tutorial and downloadable lesson plan designed to make teaching easy and learning fun.
