Power Portraits: Victoria Villasana

In this project each child will choose a pose for a photo that either makes them feel powerful or reflects their personality. Then, using colorful threads, artists will embroider around and on top of their portrait. This project is inspired by the empowering art of Mexican artist Victoria Villasana and her signature style of embroidered portraits.
