Clay Owls
(K-5th | 3×30 min)
In this lesson, students will sculpt a small owl using air-dry clay. Their owl will feature plumicorns (feather tufts) on top, inspired by owls like the Great Horned Owl. After forming the owl and adding feather textures to the wet clay, students will paint their sculptures and use oil pastels to enhance the surface texture.
Each lesson comes with a step-by-step art video tutorial and downloadable lesson plan designed to make teaching easy and learning fun.
