Bird’s Nest
(K-5th | 60 min)
Calling all my artists and nature lovers! In this fun-filled, lesson artists will learn how to sculpt a bird’s nest using Model Magic clay or salt dough. Twigs, yarn, and other natural elements can be added to the nest and real or fabric flowers and leaves can adorn the outside. In this mixed-media art project, we even look at real nests together and get hands-on experience with the science, engineering, and art required to build a bird’s nest. Let’s get sculpting!
